Paid Internship Opportunity at Airlines for Europe (A4E) in Brussels; Starting date: 13 July 2020
Airlines for Europe (A4E) is looking for a talented and enthusiastic communications professional to join our team in Brussels for a traineeship (minimum 6 months) beginning on 13 July 2020.
You will: Gain first-hand experience in crisis communications / advocacy work in an industry heavily impacted by the current public health crisis. Assist the Communications Director and wider policy team in developing and publicizing A4E campaigns. Create and post editorial/social media/website content. Assist in the creation of power point presentations, drafting of fact sheets and other communications assets. Take ownership of the A4E weekly newsletter. Help plan & execute events. Provide administrative and operational support as needed.
You have: A strong academic background in public communication or public affairs (or similar) and you are currently enrolled in or have just graduated with a degree (Master’s preferred). A strong interest in aviation and the airline industry is preferred. Knowledge of the EU, its processes and Institutions. Native proficiency in oral and written English (preferred). Excellent writing and attention to detail. Social media know-how and regular use. Experience in event management. Oral & written fluency in at least one other major European language (French, German or Spanish) a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Hands-on, proactive work ethic. Flexibility to multi-task and to perform under pressure. Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work in a small, diverse team.
