Sebastian Loerke joined A4E as a Policy Manager in March 2023, where he is responsible for facilitation & passenger data topics as well as for airspace disruption. He leads A4E’s work on issues including the EU Entry-Exit System, Passenger Name Records and ATC Strikes.
Sebastian has expertise in PA/PR advocacy campaigns and coalition building efforts. Before joining A4E Sebastian was an Account Manager for over four years at Edelman Brussels, a leading global consultancy which specialises in EU Public Affairs. During his time at Edelman, Sebastian advised clients on a broad range of EU policies including in the transport and health sectors.
Sebastian managed teams working on several different projects simultaneously, preparing and supporting the roll out of advocacy campaigns while also enabling clients to stay on top of the latest legislative developments and analysing their potential impact. He also has experience with organising conferences and coalition building efforts with stakeholders from different sectors.
At the beginning of his career, Sebastian interned for the French personal care company L’Oréal and supported the public affairs department with their activities.
Sebastian studied Public Policy at the University of Bristol in the UK. A Belgian national, Sebastian is a native French speaker. He is fluent in English and has an intermediate proficiency in Spanish, German and Dutch.
