More Information

After months on the ground due to COVID-19, Europe’s airlines and airports are preparing to welcome travellers once again with the gradual reopening of EU borders from 15 June. To ensure a safe travel experience, the European Commission, EASA and the European Centre for Disease Prevention & Control (ECDC) have published guidelines that will now be put into operation. Travellers should feel confident that air travel provides an even higher level of health safety compared with other modes of transport, thanks to advanced HEPA filters and other protective measures on board and the ground. Leaders from Airlines for Europe (A4E), ACI Europe, Boeing and EASA’s medical department will discuss the principles, research and measures taken to ensure a successful restoration of passenger traffic.
