Laurent Donceel joined A4E as a Policy Director in April 2016, where he is in charge of sustainability dossiers.

Laurent’s expertise is in political communication both in Brussels and across EU capitals. He has significant experience engaging with decision-makers, media and influencers on legislative dossiers and political issues. He has worked with blue chip companies, trade associations, intergovernmental organisations and NGOs in the fields of transport, energy and climate change.

Laurent spent time with the Directorate-General for External Trade in the European Commission and Belgium’s Foreign Affairs ministry. He studied at the London School of Economics (LSE), the Université catholique de Louvain (UCL) and at the Universidad de Granada. Laurent speaks English, French, Spanish and is improving his Icelandic.
